Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) are treatments that are outside of conventional medicine. Most CAM treatments have either not been shown to be effective or have been shown to be ineffective. Unfortunately, some CAM providers make misleading claims about the effectiveness of their treatments. This could result in members of the public undertaking these treatments when they are actually not suitable. This site aims to highlight these misleading claims in complementary and alternative medicine and therefore to protect the public from being misled into taking them.
